My problem is that I didn't think the impossible planet was that good either, or the cybermen alternative universe*1. I fear this series is sliding down hill FAST!. Little things like.. "ohh lets make the blackhole more artistic" and comedy chase routines are indications that the writers/producers/directors are starting a journey up their own backside as some of their people are inclined to do when things start to look like a success.
With "brilliant shots" like that girl randomly starting to spin away from a low (impossibly so lol) gravity, atmosphericless planet for artistic effect it is obvious that they have stopped listening to any science advisors for the show*2. The reason this is a problem for anyone who couldn't give a fig for Newton is that we are talking style over substance*3. Are we going to be faced with red dwarf season 7 and 8?
Saying this it may still recover from this rocky patch, and those episodes did have some redeeming features
"Are you bothering ma Mum!?!"
If you can accept Dr Who as a very good kids program then I suppose that things could be much much worse... Yeah! \o/ I have managed to off-set my own doubt, for the moment!
*1 I did like the doctor blaming the travel between universes
on the lack of any time lords about to keep things right.
*2 I just thought of an excuse. Obviously she has just left the impossibility field that the monster was generating and this is why she spun round - apparently she had her wallet in her left pocket and the sudden effects of the monstrous gravity were so severe that even the small difference in mass was enough to cause angular momentum, either that or some boundary effect between the impossible field and the rest of the universe.
*3 I have never considered style to be entertainment... except maybe Terminator 3
END POINT: And you thought you needed to get out more, if only someone could point me in the direction of the front door!

Yeah, I always enjoy the "casual" reaction to the MotW on the part of the Doctor, and lately Rose. Ignoring the Abzorbaloff to shout at Danny was pretty typical, but I'm sure I've seen similar scenes in the other episodes.
UPDATE 1/07/06:
OMFG this looks like a good one
