You scored as Capt. Mal Reynolds.
The Captain. You are the captain of the ship, so the crew are your responsibility. You just want to do the job, get paid and keep flying. Why is that always so hard?

It gave me Shepard. Also said that Shepard and Kaylee were tied at 75%, so maybe it was 75.1%?
Oh, I see. It gave me a "Which one describes you more" choice before the decision was made.
Saw Serenity again earlier. Spotted a couple parts that played like miniature episodes (highlights of the series, if you will, helping bring newcomers into the fold), but since the story also got moved forward in a big way, it had the ring of a season finale to it, as well.
And this new edit feature is awesome.

You scored as Kaylee Frye.
The Mechanic. You are a natural mechanic, and you are far too sweet and cheerful to live out here. How you can see the good in everyone around you boggles the mind occationally. Still you don't seem to be any crazier than that, and it is a nice kinda crazy.

I've never watched Firefly. I just watched the trailer for Serenity, and I need some help here.
Why should I be interested in this film?
The trailer was made of the same shit that every other semi-recent scifi film is: annoying techno-trash music pumping in the background, lots of cgi explosions and a scantly clad babe kicking ass, some lame wisecracks, actors trying to look all intense -- based on this trailer, I'd say it looks like crap.
Now, based on the comments of those seen the film, this doesn't appear to be the case, though.
I'd love to see a good, intelligent sci-fi flick. There hasn't been one in the theatres in ages. Would this be potentially interesting for us 38-year olds who used to watch Trek in our teens, grew up with Star Wars, but don't give a rats ass about Farscape, Buffy and as said before, have no clue what kind of a series "Firefly" is (and quite frankly aren't awfully interested in finding out, either).
Does "Serenity" really work on its own? Is it only for angst-ridden teenagers or us old farts too? Does it have substance, or is it all style? Is there a plot in there, somewhere, or just quick cuts, fighting, exploding stuff, and the actors strutting their stuff?
Man, would I love to see a good, intelligent sci-fi film.

Jonathan Ross (as a non-firefly fan) said it was the best sci-fi film in years with much of the feel of early Star Wars.

It's a trailer. What the hell do you expect? :p Also, every joke is taken out of context, and to be honest I didn't found any of the trailer's "funny-lines" funny when I first saw it. Well except the "I don't wanna explode" part - Adam Baldwin is my hero.

It does work on it's own. And it's NOT a "style-over-substance" flick. Yes, that is what the trailer makes the film look like, but that's really not Joss Whedon. Serenity is a character driven film, end of story.

Trust us, it's worth seeing.
Edit - Oh, and for the record: there's no annoying techno-trash music anywhere to be heard
