Indeed. Manderley gives credits, not bonus points. You get bonus points when you complete objectives and stuff like that.
That said, the first times, I also dropped all my zyme in Hell's Kitchen... after taking one vial for me later, I still dropped it thinking "WTF is that sh*t??". :D Only long after that did I see the possible benefits for my wallet.:cheeky:

Money is not really much of a problem in Deus Ex. I never ran out, or could not afford to buy stuff I really need.
The game is pretty generous with the Hacking skill and the odd cash point.
