Ok, there are nature webcams a-plenty on the Internet, but this is really a pretty rare and unique opportunity: to see a wild (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osprey) osprey (Pandion haliaetus) (
http://www.natureit.net/) nesting and hatching an egg. With a bit of luck, you may get to see when the egg actually hatches.
This osprey has been named Liisa. Its nest is located in the (
http://virtual.finland.fi/netcomm/news/showarticle.asp?intNWSAID=25157) Finnish archipelago.
The server's a bit slow to respond due to a huge interest in seeing the osprey in the wild, but it works (you just may have to reload a couple of times), and the images are sharp, up close, and beautiful.
Here's a brief dictionary (for now the site's in Finnish only, although an English version is in the works) to help you get around:
Sääksi: an osprey
Livekamerat: live cameras
Kohde: object (they have four different live webcams, but only the osprey one is now on-line)
Laajakulmaan: to the wide-angle view
Lähikuvaan: to the close-up view
Tietoa kuvan käytöstä: information regrading the use of the pictures
Hitaammalle yhteydelle sopiva harvemmin päivittyvä kuva: a picture better suited for slow connections (less frequent updates)
The other webcameras that will be going live later (according to the site in May-June timeframe) are a Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) cam, a White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) cam, and an underwater cam.

If your lucky you won't see a black box as there is quite a lot of viewers. There was an egg there but it appears to be just an empty nest right now..
