I have found out that invisible dead monkey occurs only when you have Rebirth-mod activated via Zombe's ModManager.
Minor detail, but it happens with Rebirth installed manually as well.

What the hell.
Whatever the problem is, it's on your side. Muzzle flashes staying in existence only happened in laggy multiplayer games to me.

Looks like you got Shodan a bit too far up this mod's ass. Now its all anally infected :laff:

what the fuck

That reminds me-- is there any easy way to attach muzzle flashes to the weapon model, instead of a point in space? I've always thought that looked kind of weird.

I don't think it works that way. Muzzle flashes are created onto the weapon's vhot, and are deleted ~200 milliseconds later. Attaching would be quite difficult.

Try firing a pistol or AR while on a moving tram. Face toward the direction the tram's moving and fire, and you'll see the muzzle flash rush toward you. Face the opposite direction, and you'll see the muzzle flash recede from you.

Yeah, I've noticed that too, and like I said, can't fix it. Even if I miraculously made some form of instant-teleport adjustment that fires once every 5ms, it would still be unwieldy when you're firing upwards or downwards, as with the laser beams.

Hrm. A muzzle flash is basically a particle effect, isn't it? I thought those could be set to either follow the object that created them, or hang behind.
