I got inspired tonight and (
http://chris.brabete.com/hur/sec2.avi) further improved the security panel, when frobbed an invisible light point is created (later destroyed when the player moves away) which is placed in a way that makes it look as if the screen is emitting the light.
Woah, video looks pretty cool. Is this in addition to or instead of the texture swap? I thought the new textures looked alternately washed out and oversaturated.
For consistency's sake, this same effect should be applied to the info terminals and secure access terminals as well.

Can we get up-to-date download links on the first post in this thread with some indication of the date of upload? Since this is an open-beta thread, it'd be great to have the first post to refer to rather than have to read all new posts in order to determine whether we still have the latest files.

The texture swap has been kept, the textures looked under and oversaturated because otherwise there was too little of a perceptible difference when the switch occured. Now that I've added the light I'm going to see about removing the texture swap.

Thanks for the updates. Howevever I'm still crashing in the Hydro level. I'm just hoping the keycard I need isn't in that particular room...
I've just replaced my modded Hydro level with your update. Or should I have done something else?

SS2 keeps copies of the mission files in its saved games, so you have to restart from scratch or load from a point where you haven't entered the crashing hydro map yet.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it would be something like that. I'll have a look through my saved games. If not I'll just avoid that particular room. Cheers.

TF: "Good on ya'" as the cool kids say. Does that mean you'll be keeping the first post up to date on everything that happens?

Looks like the ninth ball gets the Death Stage 12 property somehow. Entirely out of my hands, especially since I didn't edit the cryokinesis projectile itself. It's a natural bug of Dark, but I think I can add something to force every projectile to set that property to normal when it is fired. I'll have some time for that tommorow.
Is it happening every time? And only in hydro?
Red Monkey: The hell, it's still there. Okay, here's one that's guaranteed not to have the red monkey: (

Seeing as that update will fix hydro I will be again and this time I will go wrench all the way (unless a probot gets at the bottom of the down lift again:( )
