Ahh nvm...was just wondering if I could undo them changes myself. My specs are quite a bit over the min requirements (e.g. 1.2ghz processor, 256mb ram, can't remember graphics card but i think its an ati raedon 9000(might need to update drivers-could be problem) even though i'm playing on min settings.

Get more memory (from the sound of it you're probably using PC133, drop about $50-70 bucks on NewEgg for a 512MB PC133 stick, it'll extend the life of your machine for a little while longer), eliminate background processes, slim down your service configurations.

Actually the explosions are really resource-inefficient, they have a small initial lag on my computer too, which is pretty much technology of 2004, I'll get to doing a fix when I can spare the time, particles would be more efficient for the flying incandescent bits, and wouldn't look too different anyway. Hell, I think they even triggered the 128 on-screen objects limit a few times.

Phew at least its not just me...I know the comp that I use is fairly old but it can play morrowind at ~med graphics and not lag too badly when I do an OTT spell expolsion:ebil:(different engine I know but still morrowind does have fairly large reqs esp for its age) . I have only the basics running in the background as well (no internet (e.g. no anti virus programs), only used for playing semi-old games).
That being said I'm getting more memory soon aswell which would probably deal with those problems, I just find it a bit supprising that something that i'm not really looking at (i.e. dodging) causes so much lag.
Also were the fusion shots changed aswell? As they seem to cause a bit of lag when on death shot at least:erg: .

I think it may be a superb way to please everyone if a dev took the approach of implementing changes categorically and releasing the mod in stages, beginning with the most universally accepted changes like bug fixes, moving to new functionality like the ability to combine items, ending with the most radical changes like new weapons and enemies....for example. This would help the dev avoid having to redo unnecessary work and yet his products would appeal to a very wide audience. Think so?

Hey Brain, did you find the monkey on Ops?
maxdmg on 26/1/2006 at 11:00
Hehehe that monkey was probably the weirdest thing within the whole game :laff:

On Command level near the tram one of replicators shows this kind of goods.
Hmm when I played through all them hand grenades cost 1 nanite each and could be replicated as much as I wanted.
Did anyone else throw a scrambler at the movie replicator...:laff:

Hmm, strange. I have to check it out then when I find more time to replay this thing again.

Glad you managed to fight your way through it eventually, can you tell me exactly how you overcame the problems you got? I'll see about fine tuning this monstrosity for a bugless release yet.
Are you sure those grenades were completely normal? That replicator was normally broken so I turned it into an evil replicator which replicates handgrenades that can't be picked up, are primed and explode, an explosion breaking the replicator.
