Hi all,
I'm having a little trouble with this. I'm trying to rig up a button such that when you highlight it, text displays, and when you frob it, you teleport.
I already know the trick about using a hidden object and FrobProxy to make the teleportation require a frob (courtesy of this thread: (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26846)), and that works no problem.
The issue is getting the text to display upon highlight. Here's what I've done:
1. Create an elevator button and add the scripts StdBook, TrigWorldFocus and TrapStim.
2. Add Engine Features>FrobInfo and set world to Script and FocusScript.
3. Add the Book>Text.
4. Add a ControlDevice link from the button to itself.
5. Add a receptron for ScriptStim, Intensity 1 (min 1 and max 1), action: Frob object; Me.
(see attached image here: (

I'm pretty sure I've rigged up the FocusScript correctly, because if I abandon the FrobProxy trick, the button will teleport the player upon highlight (this works even if I skip step 5, above). So the FocusScript is clearly doing something. It just won't display the text.
I already have an empty \Strings folder, and if I frob the button the text displays just fine. So that's not the issue. The text just won't display on highlight (although teleportation works on highlight.)
Any thoughts?

Working perfectly now with FocusPlaque—-wow does that make things easier!

I congratulate you on figuring out how to use tnhScript without asking, it confuses many people at first due to the vagueness technical nature of the documentation.
