No, mothra. I have no desire for a 'rainbox' version of any fucking thread. What grates incredibly is that your 'little bit' of an exaggeration is never, in fact, a 'little bit'. And it's been just about every post you've made here so far. And if that's your idea of 'tongue in cheek', you seriously need to get a clue. Possibly even multiple clues.
I'm kind of dismayed at the overt actiony element the game seems to have from the E3 videos, but I'm not going to go around saying 'aw fuck they're screwing us over' just yet. I don't think we have enough information just yet.
But don't let that prevent you from venting your spleen, since apparently a floaty cam eavesdropping cut scene makes you feel like Eidos punched you in the kidneys.

I'm pretty sure "Crabby Optimist" isn't a valid character build. You're going to have to re-roll.

Just out of curiosity, how much information do you need?
So far all you have to go on is game play, cinematics, some story and some setting. How much more do you need?
Is all you need some more footage? A review or two? Perhaps a demo? Will you need to play the actual game before you judge?* Will you need to experience every possible permutation?
* In which case you wouldn't be able to know whether or not it is worth your money until after you had paid.

I'm not the one with the crabs, ZB.
I'm serious: what is the point of judging the entire game from a flashy E3 sequence obviously geared towards getting a 'wowie that's some cool shiznit' reaction from journos?
If I'd played the game and discovered that flashy takedowns are mandatory and you have to play it as an action game, I'd be really pissed myself. But we're all ready to fly off and pronounce everything fucked up by virtue of some 20-odd minutes of footage? Well, that's some might fucking fine extrapolating skills you have.
Chris: I'd need more information. What you can and can't do in the game, for instance. A demo and a couple impressions from people with functioning logic centres about the full game wouldn't hurt.

Using irony to drive home a point is lost on you as well, apparently. Maybe I should make spaztastic remarks in lower case and random carriage returns to be more obvious next time.

counter-irony is lost on you as well, one could say. anyways, so I guess I have to take anybody's fragile emotional corsett regarding DXHR into account when posting negative observations.

I tend to use 'f-bombs' (what the fuck?) as punctuation every now and then, just like plenty of people happen to do, Mr. PersonalityMeter.

This back and forth sniping would be waaaay cooler if you guys could all drop to third person perspective for a few seconds.
And for what it's worth, sulphur, I don't really think anyone's saying "OMG THIS GAEM WILL SUX BALLZ", it's more of a case of "while this'll probably end up being considerably more cerebral than the current trend of SHOOT ANYTHING THAT MOVES games, the general indications are that many of the design decisions make it progressively LESS DX-esque than they make it more".
Starting from a platfrom of "let's make a DX game" is always a good place to start. It's just nicer when it's closer to "let's make a DX game that is essentially more DX, only prettier" rather than "let's make a DX game that is more like gears of war, coz that was COOOOL, man."
