Oh wow I hadn't seen the second video. It's even worse than I thought. But it actually reinforces my point (press A to win yay !). Also the game seems to suffer from the Bioshock syndrome by making the player an all-powerful unstoppable killing machine armed to the teeth.
I seem to remember reading that the demo was being played with invincibility and infinite bio energy, so it may not be quite as bad as that.
Apart from that some of it looked worse than I'd hoped and some of it not as bad as I'd feared, but there's no way to really know without a playable demo/the finished game. IMO, obviously.
The double kill looked crap though :erg:

I haven't seen the original two videos, but now I'm not sure I even want to. This small sample was just bad enough.

I got the vids from here:

Saved them too, but I won't upload them anywhere for now, since I'm over my bandwidth, downloading them took half day, uploading would be even worse.

Not just that, also fullly upgraded weapons and augs.
The thing I disliked most were the constant third person switches. Completely schizo, I can't see myself playing like that :/
And eavesdropping on a conversation trigers a friggin' cutscene? REALLY?

Well I guess they don't trust gamers to sit still and listen to a whole conversation. What with our short attention spans and need to perform fancy third person executions
I'll be buying it though, and I'm still hopeful it will be less annoying than IW.

ha, and there's schwarzenegger commando dude at the end of video2. "we got ourselves a boi-scout. it ENDS HERE". omg.

Yup, this is a console game to the core.

That's what I was thinking. I can certainly understand the desire to try and make the game as robust as possible, I don't think anyone likes the fact that if you get spotted during eavesdropping and have to deal with something, accidentally venture outside the speech radius during a critical moment, or somehow break the scripted sequence that you could potentially fail your objective and possibly get stuck; however, there is a very good way to deal with this and an acceptable way to deal with this. The very good way is to make sure that if you miss the conversation that there is another way to complete your objective, this is the way the original and carefully designed RPGs do it. The acceptable way would be to gain access to Tong's office before hand and plant a bug. This bug could then relay the entire conversation in its entirety through your infolink and then get stored permanently in your datavault. Edios Montreal decided to do neither and simply made it a cutscene. Considering everything we've seen so far, I can't say I'm even remotely surprised that this escaped them.

Me too. I was hoping that DX:HR will not be, as Zylon said, "a console game". Unfortunately, it looks like one. Are these TPP moments optional?
Well, right now I'd start worrying about Thi4f.
