I've been unable to take screenshots in-game... I normally use the PRTSC key, but to use it on my laptop I need to press FN key.... could this be the cause? If so, is there a way to take in-game screenshots?

If you're using Steam, try F12. Otherwise, PrintScreen should work. If not:

If it doesn't seem to be taking any screenshots, try checking Users/(username)/My Documents/My Games/Skyrim skyrim.ini file to make sure the bAllowscreenshot function is set to 1 instead of 0.

Interestingly enough, my INI file does not have that line of code, sort of speak....
This is what it has:
[Display]
sD3DDevice="ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145 "
[Grass]
b30GrassVS=1
[Water]
bReflectLODObjects=1
bReflectLODLand=1
bReflectSky=0
bReflectLODTrees=1

just an idea: the "take screenshot" command will most probably be available on the console as well.
Might be a bit tricky to do that with a hidden console (which you can toggle with "tm") but might help you there.
