Is there a screenshot key in this game? The manual doesn't specify one.

You need to edit the .ini file to enable screenshots. Open My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini and look for:
bAllowScreenShot=0
then change it to:
bAllowScreenShot=1
Once that's done, just use the "print screen" key to take screenshots.

It's just easier to run Fraps in the background though.

In bizarro world.

Does this trick save the screenshots in the Oblivion folder? Because I read somewhere that it doesn't and you need to paste the shots into Paint or something :confused:

It works exactly the same way it did when you toggled it in Morrowind.ini. It dumps a .BMP screenshot in your Oblivion folder.

Well in that case it's certainly handy. Handier

Note that for some dumb reason HDR seems to be required for screenshots to work
twisty on 3/4/2006 at 00:22
Damn. For those of us without HDR, that's terrible :(

no it doesn't
Where did you come up w/that? I have an 9800 PRO and took 45 screenshots w/the IN GAME system. I use FRAPS now, though.
