Morrowind looks great on my monitor, simply gorgeous, and I'm dying to take some screenshots, but they all come out so dark they're almost black. Anyone have some advice on what I can do/try?
On an added note. My monitor has been making the oddest noise in the last two days. Sort of a shrill, high frequency noise that is driving me and my dogs nuts. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Is this a warning sign of a monitor that is getting ready to self-destruct? I sure hope not since it is only a few months old ..... :(
BTW, I don't think the two problems are connected. The noise just started recently, but the screenshot issue has been troubling me for a few months. No one seems to know what's wrong, or how to fix it. Any help or suggestions I can get would be greatly appreciated.

As I dont have morrowind on this comp I can't check, but when your taking the screen shot make sure you have the gamma in the game up, if that doesn't solve the problem then I'm not sure what else would work.
As for the high sound, some screens I've had in the past do this, as do all bloody flouresant lights. Not sure what does this, but I think its just from the tube in the screen getting hot, as my television does it if I leave it on when I goto bed.

Thanks Danmarr! Will try the gamma correction, hope it works. *sigh* As to the noise ... I had also thought it might be overheating, but today it happened within minutes of turning it on. Just hope I'm not sitting in front of it when it decides to blow up. LOL. :)
