After a bit of hype-milking on facebook to get 100k fans before releasing the theatrical trailer, (

I know nothing about the property in particular, but the teaser and this have me totally sold - if it weren't for the fact that I was already double sold because it's my Edgar Wright mancrush taken to the next level. :cool:

Looks pretty cool, but I wonder if I'm the only one who wishes that someone other than Michael Cera could have been cast, it's getting so damn tiresome to see him reprise the same limp role over and over.

After watching that, I had a slight suspicion that they'd used up most of their funny material in the trailer and the actual film would be mediocre. Then I remembered that Edgar Wright is directing.

This trailer does a much better job conveying just how manic Scott Pilgrim is (both the books, and the character of Scott himself).

I'm still not convinced Cera can pull off Scott's hyperactivity. But then, I'm not sure anyone can.
Kind of surprised we haven't seen anything of Envy in the trailers. I know it's already an awful lot to cram into a movie, but she seems like too important a part of Scott's past to set aside.
The little details in this are making it more awesome every time I see it. The kick drum just being labelled "DRUM", Wallace's monogrammed cuffs, the star on Ramona's subspace bag matching whatever her hair color is, etc.

The stuff with him asking about Ramona at the party, and asking Ramona out when she delivers the package assuaged most of my fears about that.
