My tear glands are inoperative.
Also, my mind is being blown away at the improbability of this unexpected development.

I'd say something about sarcasm being the lowest form of wit, but a) I'm not certain you are being sarcastic and b) if you are it was actually pretty funny. It's still an utter travesty though.

You're correct on all counts and thanks.
Anyhow, while the dish is still hot, the whole thing's like watching a carnival. Not too great, but glues your interest nonetheless. The same could apply to a wreck.
My God, that looks lousy and boring now that I see it written down.

Bush doesn't have to worry about reelection, he just has to worry about impeachment, and he's damn borderline it at the moment. He's in a sense, "making his run for it", like a damn fascist:mad:

One of the interesting things about this case is that there really weren't many liberals involved. Not the judge, not the appeals court, not the prosecutor, not the CIA which initially filed the complaint, not the DOJ which assigned the investigation... The Republicans were a law-and-order, lock-'em-up party - right up until Republicans were the ones found guilty.

I'd like to know what the reaction among 'grass-roots' republicans is. Many of them will be angry about this too, if they care about justice. And even those who really do not care about justice should be able to see how damaging this could be to the republican party in the US and the reputation of the US in the world.

The Republicans were all about Justice and for condemning perjury, as long as the perjuror in question was Clinton and the crime was getting a little nookie on the side. Now that its someone close to the Bush administration the perjury and obstruction has miraculously not been a big deal. Even when the crime is outing a Cia agent as punishment for her husband telling the truth in the leadup/ lies to get us in a war with Iraq. Suddenly the law and order party is all about commutating a sentence to cover their own asses. As far as I am concerned this was an act of treason leading all the way to the white house. It truly makes me sick.
