Both versions of the spoiler tag have been there since the beginning (back in the day, when I had to actually create a Perl code to add to the old forums), though only the 'SPOILER' version was a quickie-button.

You can highlight the text you want to represent the link with (if you use the Insert Link button). The URL tag gets wrapped around it automatically, then.
