Yesterday when playing the Gas Station mission again just for fun (or sadism) I noticed something surprising, at least for me :) : the roof over the pumps actually collapses from an explosion! Anyone care to tell, if there are other examples of this, if not counting storyline related events like the
UC explosion in Versalife or breaching the ship weld points
or the "usual" way interactive objects break in wood/metal etc. shards?

CONGRATULATIONS
You've discovered the hidden Red Faction mode in DX! Get ready for several hours of boring but beautiful gameplay!
Sorry brain fart. Never noticed that one.

I guess I'd never have discovered that if I hadn't started experimenting with various loud weapons in that mission.. In fact it turns out that it doesn't necessarily require much stealth at all :D Of course, the first time through it (a long time ago) I was scared shitless...

Yeah, I happened across that rather accidently...
I was sneaking around the station, when suddenly the adv. Trooper there saw me, and started the usual "run and shoot"-routine. During this, a missile from him hit the tanks, and the roof came down.
Too bad for him he was under it :ebil:

It always saddened me that the coolest environmental weapon in Deus Ex had to be placed in the area where the use of explosives was discouraged the most.
