ohand yes, i did mean ss1. my mistake.
i just upgraded my cpu and would now be able to run doom3. i played 1 and 2 when they were first out - will i be pleased after my 10 year wait for a sequel?

Doom 3 is not quite the same as the prequels. . .

Doom3 has a better storyline. The original 2 were basically just a random assortment of levels topped of with your basic boss fight.
However, the main brilliance of D3 was supposed to be how scary it was. The problem is that it uses tricks to scare and unsettle the player. When you've seen alll the tricks it becomes dull and repetitive.
I suppose it you got it on budget, then you won't be dissapointed.
The funny thing about it, is the use of PDA's to tell the story. I wonder where they got such a good idea from.....
