That deserves a thumbs up? Really?
I'm ambivalent about a lot of things and the death penalty is no different. On one hand, murder is wrong in all forms. On the other, prisoners are a strain on the bank, kind of like pensioners. In particular, for life sentence types who have 0 chance of getting out vertical, would it not make sense to remove that strain?
As usual its all a matter of perspective.

A mentally ill man was murdered by the state tonight. How much fucking "perspective" do you think is needed?

I was living in the D.C. metropolitan area when all this was going down, and it's hard to express the sheer level of WTF that was in the air for those months. What the fuck...I'm not glad he's dead I'm just glad it was stopped and he (they) were caught. I didn't clam up, buy bullet-proof vests and only go out at night, like I imagine some people must have with fear, but I've never been scared like I was then.
Anyways here's to it never happening again...

Life in prison has to be a hell of a lot harder than the death penalty. Personally, I think he got the easy way out. Should have let that fucker rot, let him know he's never going home. Now his suffering is over, while I'm sure the families of the victims are still hurting.
Life in solitary, now that's brutal, fuck death.

Not that I condone that kind of punishment, but, well, you get the picture.

Assuming you are being educated in psychiatric medicine as well as your awesome creative writing course, please do elaborate.
