I am trying to see Lord Vivec, but Saryoni wont give me the keys. This is the 2nd time I have played this game and didn't have a problem the first time. I must have made the temple mad at me. Any suggestions on how to finish the game?

If you want you can...
[SPOILER]Kill him and take the key. Go to Vivec, kill him and take the wraithguard. Take the wraithguard as well as the pieces of paper at the back of the room. Go to Yagrum Bagarn in the Corprusarium. He'll tell you what to do from there.[/SPOILER]

Ryushi, I'm not positive but I believe that killing Vivec won't yield the wraithguard but some other garbage glove.

If you kill Vivec he drops an unactivated Wraithguard which is no good to you at all. That's why you have to see Yagrum Barnum-he's the only person in the game other than Vivec who can get it working and show you how to use it.

Yeah. Oh! Becareful, if you kill Vivec and activate the wraithguard with Yagrum then the first time you put it on it'll 'backfire' and cause some damage. If you're a high-leveled character you needn't worry.

You need to carry out Azura's instructions, given you in the Cavern of the Incarnate....basically have yourself proclaimed both Nerevarine (by the Ashlanders) and Hortator (by the three Great Houses) When you've done this, you can go to see Archcanon Saryoni and he will send you Vivec-wards with a blessing.
Incidentally, doing the Hortator part first will avoid much of the Nerevarine-generated hostility from the Temple and their followers.
If you've done all this and Saryoni still won't hand over the keys....then I don't know. A bug maybe?
