What part offends you?
The fact that the city management took them down or the fact that advertisers are now targeting us through our sense of smell?
I sometimes feel completely overwhelmed with the amount of advertising we are bombarded with. Just driving I have to contend with radio adverts, huge print and electronic billboards, posters taped to street lights, flyers being handed out at robots, even sms adverts on my phone. It gets a bit overwhelming.

Heh, I just thought it was an interesting article and bit of information, and the "offending" thing just came to my mind before posting. Yes, it was "an ever so delightful" play on my name.
No Shayde, it doesn't actually offend me in any way. I'm actually surprised they were able to do that without getting all the confirmations and "OK's" that are required. I also don't think it would work on me very well, because I don't think I ever really "crave" milk when I smell cookies or eat them.

This does make me wonder if it actually smelled like real cookies, or if it was like some of those candles or other marketed "cookie" scents that slightly resemble cookies but actually smell more like vanilla or something..
