IT WORKS, IT REALLY WORKS. I DUNNO WHY IT SUDDENLY STARTED TO WORK... BUT NOW IT WORKS! ! ! It's FOG FOG FOG!! ! :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky: :)

I've said it before, I'll say it again.
Follow the instructions given. If when you go intot he game Fog is not present in the levels which contain fog then RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. If it still does not show the fog then you did something wrong.
I still think that the Thief FAQ on the forums should be updated to say that. I may require to reset your computer.

Confirmed - I have a Radeon 9600 card and using this method I got fog working in Thief !!!
Oddly enough, this didn't fix the problem with Combat Mission series (which also fail to display fog on ATI cards)

i got a Radeon 7000/64 mb.......... will thief TDP work on my comp i tried da tweaker thingy.but i cant access it.when i get 2 it it closes down due to some error.i tried reinstallin it but still i cant access my tweaker thingy.......
ps i am new to Theif...but am a champ at Deus EX

should work on any radeon card using catalyst drivers.

should i download da latest catalyst ie 3.10. but still as soon as da game loads it crashes and i got XP and Radeon 7000/VE.....64mb........
