I've seen this posted about a couple times over the last few decades but I never found a solution/workaround for the issue.
Last night I finished replaying TMA and while trying to make my way up to the signal tower in the Experimental Invention Workshop, for seemingly no reason at all, the grate that blocks the ladder up to the elevator came out and blocked access.
There was no alarm triggered, I wasn't seen, there was no obvious reason for this to happen and I've never seen it occur before. I started googling the issue and found two very old TTLG Forums threads about it, but neither really had a solution, although one theorized the cause of the problem being the masked guard accidentally triggering the button that closes the grate.
Thankfully you only have to activate 7 towers on Expert (maybe this issue is why), so its not gamebreaking unless you get stuck up in the elevator room, but I just wanted to report another instance of this bug happening, and I was curious if its happened to anyone else?
Like I said I was replaying TMA, and this is about the 10th time I've done so, but I've never before run into this bug, and didn't even know it existed until last night.
