Where exactly in Tocky's post was the personal attack?
It's very clear in his post: he refers to a Kremlin propagandist and Republican who suddenly posts even after joining this forum in 2012.
That's a personal attack. Worse, my sources are not only Mearsheimer but also Kennan, Sachs, Cato (a right-wing group), Ron Paul, Socialist Workers (a leftist group), Intercept and Grayzone, etc., and my views are shared by Assange, Greenwald, Pilger, and others. Not exactly Russian and Repubican supporters but a combination of views from right- and left-wingers.
To get an idea of the way I think about this issue, you may consider this documentary from Pilger. It's about China and the U.S., but you can see connections between this and U.S. activities concerning NATO, Ukraine, and Russia:

Pilger interviewed by the SCMP, on Ukraine:

Dude, just edit your first post in with new information when you want to add to it. Don't post 10 times in a row. Even a double post is frowned on. I think it even used to be a rule, but anyway it's the way forums work. Break it up with "-----"s between sections if you want. You also don't have to block quote a massive post since we can see it just above anyway. Just a sentence or so of it will usually do.
I think anybody that's been around the block knows where your ideas are coming from.
Well I didn't have any commentary to add for now, just the point about formatting. Carry on.

From an anon like you, that's certainly an expert opinion. LOL.
I wonder what counter-argument a genius like you will come up with next. Maybe the point that Ukraine was nationalist and independent from the start, that it didn't play both sides, that Kennan was wrong about warning the U.S. about turning NATO into a sword, and so on?
But no...none of these matter. Only yours. Why? Because unlike him, you're an expert on Russia. Right? Riiiiggghhhhtt.
Good grief. Why is it that every time I mention him, some neocon shill always laughts him off without even countering what he said?
LOL LOL LOL
Please, he's just plain stupid and if you've read him you'll know.

No, it isn't. Based on what you've written, Tocky made the entirely reasonable assumption that you're a Kremlin propagandist. I mean even if you weren't, it's a fact that you're still propagating some of Kremlin's propaganda. It's also a reasonable question as to why you've been lurking since 2012 and decided to activate now of all times.

Here's the fun part: which country has over 700 military bases and installations worldwide, has been at war for much of its existence, has a military budget that exceeds that of other military powers combined, and has been engaged in decades of destabilization, covert activities, and intervention, all in the name of "freedom" and "democracy"?
In before the "whataboutism" accusations start showing up. I just want to make it clear that not one but two powerful nations are involved against Ukraine.
Here's the not so fun part... one of those powerful countries launched a missile attack to the centre of one of Ukraine's cities on Christmas Eve, (
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/24/world/europe/russia-kherson-ukraine-shelling.html) killing at least 10 people and seriously injuring many more. The other powerful country is giving Ukraine air defence systems against missiles like these. Somehow, one of these countries seems to be more
against Ukraine than the other.
There's a reason why countries bordering Russia didn't walk, didn't run, but sprinted into NATO as fast as they could and that reason is their history and past experiences with Russia. It's a simple truth that most people in these countries know: Russia ends where it is stopped. And not only powerful countries, even Iceland with its combined military of about 250 people is siding with Ukraine and sending it what it can.
Any talk about peace deals and so on is pointless for the simple fact that Russia doesn't want peace and can't be trusted to keep any deal it's signing. It was Russia who attacked Ukraine, not the other way around, against all previous assurances. It is Russian troops executing civilians who have their hands tied behind their backs. It is Russia who is shelling Ukrainian cities, targeting its energy infrastructure, so that ordinary people would go without heat and light in midst of winter. It's Russia who has set up torture chambers in areas they occupy and leaves behind mass graves where it's forced to leave. Hand-wringing about the US or how NATO has provoked Russia to do all this doesn't change the fact that Russia is doing it. That's the reality in Ukraine. It is as the US Secretary of State put it, "If Russia stops fighting, the war ends. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends."

Double post, pardon

Nope. You've got yourself a ninja'd doublepost there, which negates the doublepost after all! XD

Most contemporary anti-western-liberal lines (the ones that aren't just outright theocracy), including crit theory, Frankfurter school, Chomsky, Putanism, Assange, pomo and pocol theory, etc., they all pretty much have the same intellectual roots. So you can lump them together without saying one has to be a shill for another necessarily. Or they're all in the game of cutting western liberalism down to size for the same basic reason, if you want to put it that way. Although of course someone like Putin is playing true believers for his own self-aggrandizement and kook-mystical ends.
