It's a part of the posturing that's easy & low hanging fruit for him to get away with.
I don't think it means anything to worry about per se.
The catch with megalomaniac mindsets is how the game theory / anterior cingulate cortex plays out if they feel like they are very close to meeting a very bad end if they don't produce a drastic turnaround in the war, and suddenly the box for avoiding being methodically tortured, unceremoniously hung, and his legacy being reduced to a final grainy video of his corpse being crowd-surfed & defiled by his haters Saddam-style looks a lot more vital than the box for avoiding the good telling-off he'll face if he resorts to tactical nukes.
Putin has a 1 (2?) million personal army among all the FR agency. Putin is no Gheddafi nor Saddam, he's the chief of a nation "projected" to be the guide of the planet for all the members of the nationalist think tanks.
Ah, US asks for US citizens to go/stay away from Russia.

Christian-wise it's just impossible (but very islamic.....or american :p ), an utterly non-sense because "in front of God" there's no "state".

My hope is that one of the Dear Leader's close associates finally realizes he's ruining the country, and takes care of him

Wow, the info war from russia is making a sudden push and getting traction (the video is whatever [its about the pipeline sabotage by russia - who is the only one with the means and any shred of motivation - in this case, very strong motivation], check the amount of top comments from russian "useful idiots" / sock-agents):

One of these: (

2017, Putin designated 27 March as National Guard Day,[7] linking the National Guard to a long history of public-security services within Russia - a decree of Emperor Alexander I organised the Internal Guards Corps Sigh.
Half a million fighters and it's the russian Gestapo, just to remind that the "army" and the "minister of defence" can't give you the all picture.
And there's always the FSB and the GRU to count. And more.

The pipeline was most likely bombed by the USA. If Russia wanted to halt the flow they could have just flipped off some levers.

The best theory I've heard starts just after the 13 minute mark:

The TLDL version is that Gazprom is the one party with something to gain.

On the other hand, both Biden and Victoria Nuland stated months ago that if Russia invaded Ukraine, NordStream 2 pipeline was going to be toast.

Are you serious? The pipeline is underwater AND there are no US navy ships there.
No problem for a russian submarine of course.
Russia has all the interests in the world to show that it is not the one *OPENLY* blocking the gas. But an "incident" is SO good and convenient to make the prices skyrocket.
