Anyway, so far I've seen nothing from Russia that's anywhere close to the protests sparked over that incident in Iran.
And PRECISELY this thing talks A LOT of russians state of mind.
You know, when an islamic people under theocracy WANTS rebellion and russians
not.....it just smells "Oh, accomplished FASCISM" (in Russia): it's why religion is less dangerous than state/country cult. And this thing is HEAVY, knowing how religion can mess with the human mind.

Not taking anything away from the courageous women who have started this protest against hijab laws and the morality police, but Iranians have suffered so much from the corruption and nepotism of the current regime that they're quick to jump on any reason to take it to the streets. Russians have been living a much more worry-free, normal life in comparison. We're not at the breaking point yet.

Somebody was interviewing Russians about it.
It's a very small and possibly cherry picked sample size, but general opinion was against mobilization, although I think they were all careful to say they wouldn't dodge it.
It was interesting to see this phrase used a couple of times, as if to the administration: just tell us what opinion to have, and we'll tell you whatever you want to hear. I wouldn't call that deep support.

It's not cherry picking, everybody is against, it's only natural. BUT they still want Putin to realize the vengeance against the "evil west". Not because they believe in propaganda but because it's the only way (to be aligned) to go ahead in their lives.
There's no other way, traitor or obedient.
It's how state handles crisis like that, it's by the book. There's no such thing as "deep support" nor it is needed. What it is needed is a big pile of deads to make them "count" and go full force ahead. Death is a FUEL.

It's how the state works. Everything is a number. And trad/cons nationalists talking like Heidegger "Modern Society reduces us to numbers, fuck liberal democracies and fuck their civilisation, let's revive our GLORIOUS CULTURE!!1111 I don't want to be a number for globalist powers statistics!!1111".
(in every country they believe this, in Ukraine too, in fact the nationalist movement of Ukraine and Russia was united in these childish views until 2010/2012 when ukrainian antirussian sentiment vs "russkiy mir" ideology got momentum - and I'm using ideology in its original Marx meaning, not just as "political theory" as today we've defrauded that word )
It's not "modern society", it's the state pretending to defend "culture" and stupid citizens (=subjects thinking so high of themselves) just falling for that.....and now they'll die in the name of GLORIOUS CULTURE the state bullshits them with :)

Russia recruiters ignoring rules and just pressganging the sick, feeble, old and infirm:

A 63-year-old man from the Volgograd region was also drafted as part of the mobilization, the independent Russian news site The Insider reported. (The outlet has no relation to Insider.)
The man, identified only as Yermolaev, has second-degree diabetes and a brain condition known as cerebral ischemia, The Insider reported. Yermolaev who had previously served in the army is retired.
On Thursday, he was still summoned to a medical examination center where he was told by doctors that he was "fit to go to the front," The Insider reported.
...
One man from Buryatia, a mountainous region in eastern Siberia, told The Insider that recruitment officers are "combing through the villages."
"People say a lot of men are being taken away, regardless of the criteria. There are 400 people in our village, and they took 20 men," the man, who was not named, told The Insider.
A video shared on social media showed one such recruitment drive in an unnamed location in Russia. In it, a recruiting officer yells at a room full of men that they now belong to the military, and will be sent to fight after only two weeks of training.
It makes sense if they're going to send guys into the meat grinder after only two weeks of training to only send the old, sick, feeble, mentally impaired, infirm, and uneducated peasants from remote villages. It's fucking evil, but it makes sense.

It makes sense because Putin NEEDS more deads to escalate. You can't escalate if everyone is alive and doing well, it's the basics of war behind (beyond?) the "noble duelist" rhetoric.

It's not really a surprise, but a number of Russians who had been cheerleading the war are now fleeing Russia to not have to fight in the war.
One war fanatic drove to Georgia, but he forgot to remove the "Z" logo from his car. The Georgians sent him back into Russia. Now, did he learn anything from this? No. Now he's calling for Russia to invade Georgia -_- because the Georgians wouldn't help him flee from being drafted.

You have to lol @ counter-protestors who are pro-mobilization being surprised when the authorities also scoop them up and send them to be mobilized under the rule that they're drafting protestors.
"Anti-mobilization protestors? Off to the front with you".
"No, no we're
pro-mobilization, you got the wrong people!"
"Pro-mobilization then? Good. Off to the front with you".
