Putin has no problem using massively destructive and indiscriminate long-range weapons against civilians and infrastructure. Even if he loses the land battle, as long as he is in power, thousands of Ukrainian lives are directly at risk. And I must believe that he would even use nukes to assuage his fragile ego.
Remember how T***p said he would NOT rule out using nukes in Europe? I think Putin is itching for any excuse to do so.

The problem is exactly that: war goes wrong? Nuke them (not megatons, only kilotons) for an instant win "You're messing with GOD".
Nukes level everything. Literally.
For the Crimea problem we MUST consider the nuke scenario absolutely possible.

I would hope that even Putler and his cronies have that much humanity left in their twisted minds that they wouldn't use nuclear weapons. :erg: If everything goes to hell for the Russkies and they lose Crimea, maybe then. Putler would already be a dead man walking then, so he would have nothing to lose.
Anyway, where are our Russian trolls now that their "expert" opinions are needed? For some reason we haven't heard much from them lately...

That curious moment of silence when all the people whose opinions are not their own, are waiting for their opinions to be fed to them.

I wonder if Russia even has any reasonably functional nuclear weapons. Will Russia risk a launch unless it's something from an airplane or mobile ground vehicle and doesn't go over Russian soil? Are they really that stupid?
My guess is that if Russia deployed any tactical nuclear weapons they would be small and would/could possibly use a dirty bomb instead of a fully functional weapon.
When do we start the betting pool and what is the over/under?
Nicker on 11/9/2022 at 21:26
I am not sure if the question is, will Russia do it, rather will Putin do it?
Russia is just a front for his ego. I really don't think he cares what the risks are to anyone, if he thinks he can save face. There is no number of Russians or Ukrainians, Europeans, Americans or any kind of lifeform, which he counts as superior to his needs.
Hopefully Russia will put a stop to Putin before he does the unthinkable, because I am convinced he is thinking very hard about it, at this very moment.

Good points. Putin is the center of the problem and the solution.
Here's a tiktok of AI showing the end of the Ukraine war.

Latest updates,
(
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/09/11/europe/ukraine-russia-eastern-front/index.html)
Ukraine has now captured 3000 sq km since their new offensive began. This is more territory than everything Russia has gained since April.
Even the online Putin trolls are starting to question the war leadership.
Meanwhile supplies and munitions are running out so Russia is turning to that supplier of very fine items, North Korea.
Russia has also been creating a third army corp from volunteers, and there's speculation about whether they will "zerg rush" these barely trained green recruits directly into the Ukrainian advance:
Quote:
Stepanenko, who studies the recruitment and organization of the Russian military, says the Russians "might still attempt to use these units to stop the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kharkiv, although rushing ill-trained and unprepared raw units into such operations would be a highly dangerous endeavor."
She believes that given the Russian need for fresh manpower, "it is likely that the Russian forces are deploying these elements directly onto the front lines in any case based on the reports that some volunteer battalions are already fighting on the Kherson front lines."
Also similar to what I said about the scale of the war effort to GDP, Russia trolls are in fact now promoting a Total War economy:
Quote:
Russian bloggers who have supported the offensive say a radical rethink is required. One commented: "A change of approach to the war in Ukraine is needed. Mobilization of the economy and industry. Creation of a political control center for war."
Strelkov came to the same conclusion, saying it is time to "start fighting for real (with martial law, the mobilization of the army and the economy.)"
The final thing in the article: we're heading towards winter. If Ukraine has planned correctly then Russian forces wouldn't be able to get their shit back together before freezing conditions kick in.
Starker on 12/9/2022 at 08:56
Rather than winter, which is relatively mild in Ukraine, I'd expect the muddy conditions brought by autumn rains to be much more of a damper.
As for North Korea, they are supposed to have a large amount of Soviet arms and munitions, though in what condition, that's of course the multi-million dollar question.

Even the online Putin trolls are starting to question the war leadership.
It means "Go nuclear" for them, not "Putin is like Alexander II Romanov, we must get rid of him" (that's the simple truth). Throwing new recruits fighting for something abstract like "Russian Vision" is just more meat in the grinder, it can't solve anything, it creates more chaos and hate vs Putin from russians themselves.
Trolls are irredeemable, they'll NEVER accept the leadership stupidity just like a little girl can't accept his idol is a stupid jerk.
For them it's a matter of meaning of life, is really a total engagement, a total commitment.
I see this thing clearly in italian russophiles, just think about the people who depends directly on Putin success.....they see him as an emperor and a messiah against "The Evil West" 'cause western model of society has condemned them to complete irrelevancy (just think about the INCEL mindset vs women, it's the SAME)
