Just reinstalled Thief DS and am getting this error message. I've tried reinstalling multiple times.
---------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Thief - Deadly Shadows\System\t3.exe
abnormal program termination
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Also, a "loading CD" thing comes up indifinitely after I click OK.
I have a Geforce 7900 GS with Z-tweaked 158.19 drivers.
Running on Windows XP Pro w/ Service Pack 2.
Tried running on one core instead of two, made no difference. Hyperthreading wasn't an option.

The editor install has a debug version of T3MAIN.exe and I think a T3.exe one, so you may want to try replacing your installed exes with those and see what log files it creates (they get put in your docs and settings folder somewhere).

Ok this is weird, I replaced the t3 file with the T3 file from the editor and now it works fine. Thoughts?
But, I didn't see the intro vid, isn't that supposed to show? Is the editor version of the T3 file somehow different or can I play like normal with it?

You should be able to play normally with it. What you may want to try is now putting back the original and see if it still works?
