Ha ha. :) I've done some house cleaning. Try the doorbell again.

Radiant! Shades of Quake. There may be hope after all.
I gave up trying to get the T3 editor to work on my machine. Followed every tip, trick and tute out there, with no success. Installed and uninstalled the game so many times, glass dust was leaking from the case where the drive platen was disintegrating.
Think I'll ease over to the Dark Mod site and check out what they're up to.

You should have asked (or are you talking about a year and a half ago?). I know we T3Ed-ers are evil jackasses but we can be reasonably helpful sometimes. ;)

Oh, I made a nuisance of myself on the forums asking so many questions.
I believe Ion Storm used T3ED on a LAN, and when someone decided to ship the ediltor, some stray files got left behind.
I can kick butt on UnrealEd, but sadly, the TDS version is crippleware.

It was completely tied into Visual SourceSafe, so extricating it from that was The Big Deal in getting it released. I know there were problems with certain firewalls and ruleset configs, primarily ZoneAlarm IIRC.

The dark mod just isn't my sort of gaming fun, I prefer the thief series itself, than a skin of thief on a multiplayer, each to their own.
LOL! You are confusing that with Nightblade. TDM is NOT multiplayer and it's not planned to. If somebody does it, fine, but we wont do this. It's "just" a toolkit for creating single player FMs in a thief style gameplay.

So when is TRadiant (or whatever it's called) gonna be released? The Dark Mod site is kind of anemic on information.

DarkRadiant is available now (in alpha form) to our Beta Mappers. Since it's in such an early state though, people are still using Doom3ED...but once DarkRadiant picks up a bit more momentum, it will see a lot more use.
As for public release...it will be made public with the core toolset, when it is ready. As we have said many times in the past though, the tools are available for beta mappers right now...but you don't just get a free pass, you actually have to be able to map. :)

Doom 3 comes with a fully working editor. You can use this to create maps for TDM as well, because our assets are integrated in that editor as well. However. Configuration of certain aspects, pertaining to TDM specifics, can be a bit tedious at the moment, because, naturally, the original Doom editor doesn't know about this stuff. You can still do it inside the editor though, that's not the problem. Just for an example: Setting up some Stim/Response interaction requires you to set specific keys on the respective entities.
This is where TDMRadiant comes in. Since the Doom 3 editor is based on the open source version of GTK Radiant we are free to extend it. This means that we can enhance the editor and tailor it specifically for the needs of TDM. So in the case of Stim/Responses you may be able, later on, to edit the characteristics visually instead of editing key/value pairs. This does NOT mean that you have to wait until TDMRadiant is ready, because you can already do everything with it, it just means that TDMRadiant will be more convenient to use once the features are implemented.
Of course the editor is independent of the mod itself, so you can already create playable maps, within the limits of the current implementation available.
The reason why we don't give specific dates is simply that this is a free mod. Even with commercial projects, the timelines are usually ignorant guesses and we all know what the information, that game X will be released in Q4 2008, is worth. Zero. We could write some dates on our site, but that would be just to ease poeples minds instead of giving a honest expectation. :)
