Using CrossOver, I've successfully gotten thief 2 running on my mac book pro, but I'm not having any luck getting darkloader, or garretloader to work.
Has anyone done this before?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

How are your mission load times? I've played T1/2 and FMs on Linux with WINE, but the load times began to get annoying. Darkloader worked just fine for me in WINE, but the missions took ~2x or 3x as long to load as they do in Windows. What kind of error do you get when you use Darkloader?
Garrettloader may be more difficult to get working, because it has additional dependencies I believe.

OK, now i've successfully installed darkloader. now the problem is locating the thief2.exe file for setting up darkloader. my computer seems to think it is in C:\Program Files, only.... there's no such location on my computer, as those are windows locations. My main HD is called Macintosh HD, not C. and there is certainly no folder called Program Files, it's called Applications.
How did you set it up when you did it? My computer is quite fast, so I'm not too worried about the extra time. I'm sure it'll take a little longer than usual, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Wine mounts a physical folder on your hard drive as c:. That folder is usually (root) /Users/{your user name}/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/{The Bottle Name}/drive_c. There you also will find the "program files" folder. But actually you should be able to access thief2.exe also on your virtual drive C within wine. Or what was the location you installed thief in?
