Thou shalt slash every banner with your sword.
Thou shalt dive in and explore every body of water you find, from kitchen sink to giant lakes.
Thou shalt sent upwards and look underneath every elevator platform.
Thou shalt close and look behind any open door.
Thou shalt look for book-switch on every bookshelf (damn you, big libraries!)
Thou shalt look for switch underneath every study table.
Thou shalt look for switch high in corners of every pillar or bed.
Thou shalt climb on top of any beams.
Thou shalt shoot a rope arrow in any protruding wooden surface.
Thou shalt mantle everything.
Thou shalt look in every fireplace, either for switches, fire arrows, or chimney ladder.
Thou shalt look for keys underneath any doormat.
Thou shalt look for golden cup on top of every high cabinet and cupboard.
Thou shalt blackjack everybody (if allowed) and run through level looking for that last piece of loot.
Thou shalt try to twist every torch holder.
Thou shalt play on Expert.
Thou shalt blind frob. Everything, everywhere, always.
Thou shalt dance on kitchen tables when collecting carrots and cucumbers.
That's all i got for now :)

This is spot-on. Completing literally hundreds of fan missions has ingrained all of these into my playstyle since many make them necessary.

Good list. Could add something like "Thou shalt try to twist every torch holder."

dont forget about the blind frob everything
and we all know we done that and accidentally grabbed a healing potion or speed potion without knowing it and drank it just to reload and re get item and never end up using it by end of mission :P
i never seen a mission where someone mantles every possible thing

Yes, from Baldur's Gate to Thief to Skyrim, i never drink potions. they are sacred. either to be sold or kept for that critical moment that (almost) never comes.
I mantle almost everything and bang my head against the wall while leaning to see behind every cabinet. You never know, man, you just never know.
Also, i dance on kitchen tables when collecting carrots and cucumbers, too :)
