Jupiter2k:
That's it. I have prepared screenshot with button and open plague. But I see you know... What a pity - such a fantastic mission and so much bugs. :(

I got Dinksmallwood to ask the author a few questions on the German forum and these are the answers she received:
Secrets:
There are 4 secrets in the first mission and 4 secrets in the second.
Unfortunately there's a bug in the secret-display and in mission 2 it
shows all 8 secrets of both missions.
Signet Ring:
The ring has no purpose. Actually Rostvogel wanted it to be loot and
then he forgot to delete the so-called 'quest-item properties' (don't
ask me, something in Dromed lol).
The ladder in the kitchen chimney:
It also has no purpose. There's nothing up there. It's only to enjoy the
view...
Rostvogel also wrote that he will try to upload a new overworked version
where he has 'repaired' the following things.
- Changes in gemstone-cave: In the
newer version you will finally be able to reach all the gemstones.
- Fixed some faulty archers
- The fire lock (this thing where you have to put the skull) is changed
and shall work better now
- Re-worked all objectives in the second mission
- added more light in the grottos

Though this thread has been of great help, some of the answers to questions made things more confusing. I was wondering at one point whether I was playing the same FM as everyone else.
Now the question....
is the exit to Part I located where there is a boarded up area with the warning "STOP" on the boards. There is a red lever here that triggers an alarm when frobbed. The ground doors are not frobbable. I DO have a key (trapdoor over gap key) which seems to be telling me something obvious, but I just don't get it. Is this key supposed to open that ground door? Or is there a "gap" somewhere that I haven't even been to yet.
Clock look for a lockbox on the wall by the trap doors. Use the key on that and then frob the red lever. No alarms will go off and the doors will open.
