Rugby is a game for thugs and inbreds.
Still, hoping for England to pull a hilarious miracle out of their asses. I would actually laugh till I seeped if they somehow held onto that cup.
Are you calling me a thug or an inbred?

This France/Argentina game is pretty awesome. Scuffles all over the place, the ref finally lost his patience in the dying stages of the first half and sin binned one from each team. Can't rule out France coming back but the Argentine defence is fucking awesome and not above sneaky tactics, shall we say.
edit: talk about owned. France attacked as much as Argentina but the Argentine defence was nigh impeneterable. Makes you wonder what might have happened without the errors that they gave the semi final away with

Unfortunately for us, one of those pushovers was tonight's video official.
I figured Boks by 8-10 points before the game, so I'm not too surprised by the scoreline, but I can't shake the feeling we had a perfectly good try disallowed. Still, runners-up is 10 times better than I was expecting a month ago, and you can't win 'em all.

I have to agree with the 4th official i'm afraid. I thought that boot, then knee made contact with the line prior to the put down.
Congrats to South Africa. They deserved it. Technically superior and a good match for the dogged English forwards although i'm annoyed that virtually every time they got forward they were awarded a penalty with some silly silly English mistakes.
Still, i was almost believing the Souther Hemisphere hype machine myself but in the end they were mostly pwned :p

To me the reverse angle showed him lift his foot before hitting the line and grounding the ball before his knee went over. Tough call though so what can you do? South Africa deserved the win though they were getting the decisions and the bounces. Very tight, tense game!

But even if it's the slightest waft or edge of chalk dust then it's in touch. Just before the boot was lifted there were no gaps between boot and line that i could see. Maybe the knee was clear though but it was too late! It's fecking annoying mind you because that play deserved a try...
Academic though because SA won by more than a converted try anyway and they knew exactly what they were doing at all times.
Worthy champions.
