Thanks for posting that.

Just to be clear though - Garrett doesn't go third-person when leaning or at corners.
That's almost the best news so far. :p

Is it weird that a journalist would come in and field questions like that? If he said something negative, wouldn't it cause problems between his company and EM? I don't mean these questions as rhetorical; I honestly cant decide if the guy is legit, or is there for, or at, EM's request. He didnt express concern, or constructive criticism about anything at all, it kinda just seemed like touting the same things EM are saying.

I've been cringing a bit thinking about the game switching to third person every time you blackjacked a guard. Fortunately, it sounds like that isn't the case.

Most of that was fairly encouraging. What concerned me most was the comment about the developers being fans of Thief but not realizing how attached people are to the taffer lingo. Would a fan really not know that? Makes me wonder what else they don't realize.

No lean buttons?? Did I read that right??

Maybe...but it looks pretty bad either way.

There are no actual lean buttons I believe, or at least not to the degree where you can lean any time any where - if you are near a corner Garrett seems to hug it and you can lean out, or look back. Maybe there are actual lean buttons, but lean is definitely context-sensitive. The main reason for this is clearly to cut down on buttons needed (thanks controllers), but then again... why would you want to lean any time apart from at a corner?
Wonderful...NuGarrett has auto-lean...

So it's basically a cover system again? I wonder if we can blind-fire the bow :P

Why would you want to lean at any time apart from at a corner?
To listen at a door, to look over a ledge-- just to state a couple of reasons.

All this does is effectively take creative choice away from the player...and this is fundamentally opposed to the THIEF experience.
My God, what have they done.
