ok I've been through official forums and cs support and got nowt so I'm hoping to get some help here, it's a bit confusing but here goes
I'd been playing everquest2 for three years or so with no problems of any kind! then, a day after no troubles I logged in and had huge pings going from 150 right up to 200,000 and large amounts of packet loss! this started for no apparent reason and I eventually found after trying eq2 forums that some comcast isp users were having trouble with AT&T routing them to the eq2 server, why this affected me I still don't know as I'm uk based with virgin media as my isp.
soe who produce and run eq2 say it's my isp and my isp say it's soe!! ( like they would!) the odd thing is I can connect to the us servers with no problems but the uk servers I keep getting this high ping and eventual linkdead. so switched from using a speedtouch usb modem to a billion bipac 5200g router went through the usual open port business and although it became playable it was still unstable, few high pings and some packet loss but it would usually recover and go on fine! then one day it went from a ping of about 200 up 150,000 and I went linkdead! had no use of the net at all and had to shutdown system and router and reboot!
I've tried soe and virgin and got sod all from em! found a contact email address for AT&T through arin whois and never had any reply from them.
So I tried out of curiosity a pathping to two World of Warcraft servers and both of them show a similar kind of blockage and each ip address is linked to AT&T so it seems for some reason I can't route through them at all but I've no idea why! any one got an ideas I can use to get this sorted as it's doing my nut!
I've added below a eq2 pathping and a wow pathping#

This one seems worse to me as almost all of it relates to AT&T anyone any ideas?
