Other forums I read have where when you rollover a thread title a small bubble pops up to show maybe the first sentence or so of the OP. Why do we not use this? Is the forum uncapable or is it just a feature you've decided doesn't fit here? Just curious. I find it rather helpful.

Also it looks messy, doesn't actually work properly all the time and isn't actually what the title attribute is meant for.

I'm just bloody pleased that this forum is fairly streamlined, and not every possible feature gets implemented.
Even the smileys get annoying sometimes. I say we ditch them.

The smilies themselves aren't too bad - but a smiley LIMIT per post is something that wouldn't go amiss.

Good to know - and probably shows how many I (don't) use as a rule. I imagine it's a testament to the readibility of the forum that posts with more than 6 smilies tend to stand out.

What mol said, except the part about ditching smilies. :) I don't see any need for the rollover feature. Even on my dialup modem at home, which only can manage half-speed because of lousy phone lines, the pages only take a few seconds to load as is.
