Just spotted this abbreviation around the forum in a couple of places, and it is popping up on other forums too. I figure this means "real life", what the fuck? Is it just me, or do you think that when you start using abbreviations for real life you need to rethink priorities?

Rethink priorities? You mean like, instead of thinking up abbreviations for "real life" people should spend their time finding a cure for cancer? If so, it's important to remember that people can just as well find a cure for cancer during the time they would otherwise spend typing out _eal _ife. All in all I think that, in the long run, coming up with and abbreviation for Real Life has been a smart move for mankind. :thumb:

Peeps actually use acronyms to save precious seconds of their RL they would otherwise waste by repeating the same phrases over and over again.
Extreme measures to save RL time gave birth to l33tspeak! :thumb:

No argument with the time saving benefits of acronyms but I think using “RL” is a good indication that you need to get yourself a RL or should I say GYRL

In that case everyone wasting time with thread named "RL" needs a RL him/herself?

I think everyone with a BR in their nickname needs to get a RL

You are way too sensitive, ercles.

I think people starting threads on people who abbreviate real life need to rethink their priorities.
Further, I think the same is true about people who comment on threads created by people who think people who abbreviate real life need to rethink their priorities.
Oh wait.
