I think I was too young to see her in her halcyon years. I know her name of course as it comes up in pop culture every once in a while (eg Weezer's "Buddy Holly").
Then I just watched an (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1awymw-7VL4) episode of her show and while from today's point of view it was mostly just mildly funny, I did adore the clothes (and that sofa blanket! OMG!). And it gave me a very safe and cosy feeling somehow like those old shows used to do. Reminds me that the Monkees released a new album lately which supposedly isn't half bad.

Dang. I grew up watching The Dick Van Dyke Show, and still watch the occasional episode. I haven't seen much of her other performances, but have always appreciated her comic acting in that. Feel kind of empty now. She will be missed.
