Anyway as people REALLY want to know the answer (probably to prove the theories that it IS a bad riddle, hey I agree, if people can't work it out then I am predicting this to be a VERY bad riddle), I will make it really obvious,
1) You have to look for letters.
2) Each one in each line.
3) The clues are the main puzzle so it will be hard.
4) Look at the words in the riddle, some have capital letters.
5) Us also has a capital U (need a keen eye to spot that).
6) As I have already said the Us refers back to the other capital letters.
7) So with this taken into account the first line means "the first letter is located between the capital letters".
8) Oh come on! I can't make it more obvious than that! :erg:

How do you put the spoiler in?
Also what is the average age group of people on here? I doubt people will know that, but I am 18, but I used this site for quite a few years since my glorious introduction to Thief Dark Project Demo and purchasing Thief II.
p.s. Anybody know where I can get a hold of Thief Gold separately? Not on eBay (UK version) as they don't have it, and that was the only suggested site. I want it cheap, I saw it for a fiver in electronics boutique a few years ago, but the prices have skyrocketed! For my American friend (who I met because of one of his fan missions) said he can only find it for $40, I can only find it for £45, which is ridiculous, both prices from Amazon. Does anyone know why the price is so high? My guess is because Looking Glass are no more, no more copies are made, which means they become rarer and rarer (I think) so they cost more

Re: spoilers. Shinobi: when you're composing your reply, note that just above the box in which you're typing there is a line of symbols. The last symbol on the far right is a white 'S' in a blue box. The answer to the riddle is here (which everybody will use :sly: )

For the first line it is t, which is exactly 4 letters ahead and behind capital letters F(irst) and N(o other).
The second letter in the second line is o 2 places behind N(ote).
The third letter is the P in Portray, as in to be Us.
The fourth is 9 places in front of T from The which is a.
The final letter is four steps behind the B(efore) in zest, which is z.

Wow! That is quite a diverse range of people, for a small group such as ourselves. I'm playing that Falcon Fan Mission at the mo, has anyone got that Thief X thing, the expansion to Thief II? Why do I ask so many questions? Why are people staring at me? Why am I paranoid? Why is nobody laughing? Ok I shut up now.
