I like this reader's comment:
Quote:
So what great thing are you doing with your life then? Found a cure for cancer yet or are you too busy writing about how the deaths of four young mums and a teenager girl are no big loss simply because they exchanged sex for money instead of shopping trips, career help or fame like many men and women society so admires? These women never harmed anyone, but themselves unlike many major companies who have made a business out of suffering.

May I ask why? That comment's as nonsensical as anything Littlejohn has ever said.

What part of it, again? The business out of suffering, or the fact that prostitutes are people, too?
Or is it the part where it calls Littlejohn a hypocritical cunt?

Do you mind Swiss? That's an insult to cunts.

I always wondered why we refer to odious people as cunts anyway. In my experience, cunts are warm, accommodating, pleasing on the eye and generally tasty. Which surely makes them a good thing

The fact that they periodically vomit blood maybe

Littlejohn said 'the deaths of these five women is no great loss ... they weren't going to discover a cure for cancer' - well if we judged a person's worth by such standards then the death's of most people would not be a great loss.

In the grand scheme of things, the deaths of most people really isn't any great loss.

That can be considered fairly accurate.
What makes his statements assinine, is the context. Had he written an article wherein he made the claim that the deaths of most people aren't any great loss, he probably wouldn't have gotten quite the reaction. However, when he decides to single out prostitutes for dehumanisation, don't act shocked when people ask: "What good has he done, again?"

Most people's deaths would be unnoticeable in any grander perspective. This is significantly better than him, whose death some people would notice as a substantial improvement.
