I got Thief Gold as a present way back in Jan 2000 and became an avid player. I subscribed to PC gamer UK and found this website by a link they gave to a free fan mission called Gathering At The Bar, and i registered here in roughly the summer of 2000.

What my name was, frankly I forget. And I wasn't a huge contributor or a lurker. The main draw was the fan missions but the forums were a social platform- this was well before Facebook, Twitter etc. I made a few hundred posts I think then I probably stopped visiting around 2003 or so. I don't know what I was like either, serious, a goofball? All lost in the mists of time!

So I'm getting back into the Thief games -well 1 and 2 really, as well as System Shock 2. And I've got nearly 20 years of fan missions to catch up on. I miss the old games of the late 90s and early 2000s. I find it surprising how much is coming back to me. The levels I've mostly forgotten, just vague recollections, but the gameplay I remember well.

So, I'm not likely to post much here, but still.............it's good to be back!
