And I've done it!
*holds up his wrench triumphantly*
Wrench only RttUNN has been completed, and I loved every moment of it. Although since I did it on easy maybe that doens't count, thoughts anybody?
As TNT said the pacing was near perfict outside of the begaining insanity, however if you keep your head about you there will only be rare moments where you're truely cornered and without a place to gather yourself and listen to a log or three to get an idea as to what's going on. A few of the voices were hard to hear given there were hybrids and midwives and thigns screaming nearby, but with nothing else bothering me i could hear what was going on save for the ones I've already stated that have audio issues.

BUG REPORT:
If you start a game on Impossible, the fall at the beginning is lethal, no matter what you do.

Eh, I'm just trying to draw heat off blaydes by whoring for comments on the custom textures. See, I can be nice when it's also self-serving. :cheeky:

i wouldn't call it heat per say, least not from my end, its just that I felt he would want to knowwha'ts wrong first instead of yet another guy slobbering around going 'OMFG T1S IZ TeH RuleZ!!!!!!111'
It is very good, its just getting shitloads of mindless praise, while ego stroking, doesn't exactly help matters.
As a final note i did rather like the skyboxes.

Wow, wow wow wow, finished it! \o/
First let me say I absolutely LOVED the geometry and texturing job. Absolutely top-notch and fantastic! The facilities and the ship all looked superb; wonderful work! The logs are great, too. :D
The respawning, though, while it has already been addressed, is a bit over-the-top. And that's before the UNN Gallo. When I first had to slay my way through hordes of hybrids and midwives, I knew something was up. But I never expected the all-out batshit insane clusterfuck on Deck C. 15 assassins per minute = too much. Way too much. Even for me, a crazed Serious Sam / excessive sort of gamer, the assassins were too much. I added "no_spawn" to my user.cfg file; no help. I had to summon a weapons trainer and 900 bullets for the AR just to keep them away. Even while I was busy summoning stuff, I was constantly ambushed by enemies. Not fun.
I hope you didn't intend for this, because it doesn't even make sense. There's no way that there are 90+ hybrids on the whole ship, let alone one deck. There's no way that there are hundreds of assassins.
Either way, the mission and the logs (when I finally found a quiet spot to sit down and listen to them) were great. Some seemed a bit repetitive and too reminiscent of the original SS2 logs ("sorrow... so much sorrow...", etc.) but were good nonetheless.
One other minor-at-first-but-annoying-later "bug" was that the voices from the Barracks never seemed to stop. While I was in there, though, I was creeped right the hell out. Great job. :thumb:
Anyway, this needs a patch to tone down the insanity level of the Gallo. A lot. Don't be discouraged, Blaydes! The overall construction is great! It just needs some fixes to be truly fun.

You know...I'd always thought that 'bug' was intentional. Managed to creep me out there the whole time because of it.
Waffnuffly on 11/6/2005 at 23:03
It became annoying after a while when all you could hear was this whispering crap, even when you were nowhere near the barracks. I was hard-pressed trying to listen for enemies coming my way when I had voices stuck in my head. IN the Barracks, though, it really did creep me out, as did the crazy lighting. :)
William Dojinn on 11/6/2005 at 23:05
Point taken, but for me it wasn't that big of a problem since on the other side of the door to the barreks the voices stopped and
apparently nothing spawns on the elevater side of the door
so no worries from me.

All your mobs in rooms just sit there untill you either walk right in front of them or shoot them..

It just helps motivate someone to deal with DromEd again. ;)

Yeah, turning around and seeing a desk pushing me around, that kinda made me go :wot: . If my nerves weren't steel from the spawning, I would've screamed like hell. :cheeky:
