Hehe, I'm glad that you liked the bridge on the Gallo TNT! Try that wrench only to see what happens! Oh, and hey, get the updated version and overwrite all your stuff. The new sky on the Gallo is awesome (thanks Zylonbane) and the spawn rates are cranked down!

Some messed up respawns there, but great otherwise. I could handle the flood as long as they faced me. But there was a room in the mall where I hid in and kept trying to snipe the cyborg assasin with cryokinesis and AP bullets, only a hybrid kept respawning right behind me in the room. And there were plenty of times when I could see the hybrids spawn right in front of me.
I liked everything else, ofcourse especially the excellent TriOp outdoors, I've been wanting to see SS2 outdoors with cities and stuff forever, the really long distance battle with the security bot was fun too, also great logs. :thumb:
The skybox for the Gallo looks real good, double the normal resolution of SS2's skies. What were they thinking leaving those at 128x128? Just one texture at 256 wouldn't have hurt anyone.
I'm up at the Gallo, some extreme midwife respawning going on but I can manage.
Also, you said something about a camvator sequence with the shuttle flying, I don't see it. ???:L
Uh-oh, or are those movies not playing. Lemme see, yup. Oh well, no big loss
Still, why did you encode them into movies instead of playing them back in the game? You'd save space and it would look a lot better too. I really don't get this one.

Six textures, actually.

Because you don't grasp the severe limitations of in-engine cutscenes under the Dark Engine.
How are you guys liking/tolerating the new AI voice?

Oh man, when I realized how I boxed myself in there, let's just say I haven't cowered like that in SS2 in ages. It took all the psychosis I could muster to leave the shaft. Then, I only found
2/3 of the brains, and emptied all my grenades into the reaver only to discover I missed one, I thought I was a goner.Quote:

Oh, I will. ;):ebil: Should I PM you with a melee only report along with any little oddities I noticed once I have then? I'd say after another 2 or 3 runs through, I should have something.

I'll be getting them ASAP, just need a nap. Once I have it, I'll have to take the dedicated RTUNN installation out for a spin, can't wait to raise hell in there again. :cheeky:

I actually thought it was pretty good, I forgot to ask, how'd you guys go about making it? It was a nice touch, Xerxes had no reason to be there. Too bad nothing could've been done about the 'bots still addressing him. :(

Mega Update! Way to go, Blaydes!!
JohnnyTheWolf on 10/6/2005 at 18:17
All right, I'm currently playing the first level, but I've already two complains:
- The sound of the logs is weaker than the ambient sound.
- The respawn rate is insane. It's really the first time a hybrid respawns ijust in front of me! Plus most them are carrying shotguns... arg...
But still, so far, it looks very good. Oh and the intro video rocks!
Alright, back to the UNN now. More later.

Hold up! What if I can't use .bat files? Please answer.
I don't think I can use DOS or use it very well. I clicked on the .bat file like described. Files were renamed, etc, but when I look in the snd folder, the file folders were empty. It seemd like there should have been something there. Please, can someone give me some advice. I don't want to miss out.

This respawn is really a problem. I'm in the UNN Facility and I've like... 6 pipe hybrids running around, 2 shotgun hybrids, 1 Assault Bot, 1 Protocol Droid and a lot more coming I guess...
And I have only a 5 bullets left pistol and a fully charged pistol.
Come on, Blaydes. This is not supposed to be Doom or Serious Sam!
EDIT: Oh cool! A new computer voice!

:weird:
What happens when you try?
metal dawn on 10/6/2005 at 18:36
Check again.
I added on, ZylonBane.
In case I can't use the .bats could there be a workaround/alternate method?
