I can't believe how retarded I am. I can make SHTUP and Ponterbee work perfectly, but I simply can't install this thing. I'm mod-ready and everything, it just plays the original missions with the new strings and e-mails.

NPCs you can talk with? The only thing possible in this direction is Thief-style conversations. Also, an NPC of sorts was done in the Gathering at the Bar Thief II FM. Generally, though, conversations with living people isn't SS2's forte.

Is it possible to make an AI frobbable?

You mean while it's alive? Probably.

Boy, if someone can think of a cool effect to have, it seems that there is always a Thief 2 FM that has used it. ;)

It's pretty simple to have AIs you can talk to, both Thief and SS2.
It's dialogue choices that are the real killer, because you have to assemble some kind of pseudo-interface for the player to use out of actual objects in the world, which you'd have to turn to face and frob.

Wouldn't it be worthwhile constructing one that is cut-and-pastable? After it's made the first time, it can be used over and over again.

By who? System Shock 2 isn't exactly FM friendly. :erm:
