Sorry, playing it just made me angry, I cant help it. Beta testing is what happened during this thread, if you ask for my opinion.

Keep in mind that the mod isn't completely finished yet. There is still at least one more update to be made.

You know guys, the RTTUNN homepage has over 4000 hits. Seems like most people just read the readme, install it, play it, enjoy it, and ask for more.
As you may have guessed, I'm in my final semesters of college here. Things are busy again but I've been thinking about the next levels lately.
Let me ask: Who here would prefer more levels that are planet based (not spaceship). The next mission is on a planet (Earth?) and I prefer it that way. What do you guys say?

I think that would be awesome! You already have a plethora of outdoor textures available to you from Thief 1 and 2, and, if done right, it could still preserve the atmosfear (misspelling intentional ;) ) of a good SS2 FM.

That sounds awesome! :thumb: Most of the SS2 FMs I can think of offhand are on spaceships, so one on Earth would be very original and very cool. :thumb:

Arboretum was on a planet too, wasn't it? Don't ask me which planet tho...
I have to say I have a small personal preference for spaceship/station FMs. The reason is simply that on a planet I'd always expect to have many large open areas to roam which obviously isn't easy to do in SS2. So I tend to feel caged pretty soon which is weird and feels "gamey". Whereas on a spaceship/station the same feeling matches the setting more naturally.
Of course planetside settings are imaginable that give an inherent explanation for the enclosedness like a prison, subterranean or underwater-structures, space-colony, etc.
NB: I'd always prefer such an inherent explanation over story-driven explanations of the type: You can't open an outgoing door in the building because evil creatures are roaming the streets.

Planet-based locations would be interesting - sewers, jumping over rooftops with hybrids below etc. One of the many things I admired about Return to the UNN was the varied settings, and being able to see the sky! So some planet levels would certainly be good for me.

More of the city setting-like stuff we saw the start of RTUNN would be awesome. When I played SS2 for the first time, I really craved for more of that city stuff, before I picked it up and played it I always thought it was some kind of a hacker in a sci-fi setting trying to make a living. (I think the replicators made me think that, and the nanite 'currency')

I second the notion for more city-based missions. The use of trams make more sense in such a setting as well.
