The spider organ I found needs Iridium for research but applying Ir it still prompts me to insert the correct chemical...
Also checked all of the other chemicals in the chem store room next to the shuttle bay to no avail.

I have the codecs, I downloaded new DivX ones a few days a go and they work fine in Winamp, just they don't play in the game. Neither do ANY of my SS2 cutscences any more...

If only we had some sort of FAQ that answered questions like this...

Thats the indeo codecs though, and they run fine in winamp anyway. And these new ones are DivX so how does the indio codec affect them?

Ever heard the expression, "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing"?
Try reinstalling the Indeo codecs anyway.

I can't, I don't have my SS2 CD to hand. Its at home, I didn't bother to bring it up to uni as its allready installed. I tried getting an iso but it says the codec file isn't a vaild win32 application. Its most odd.
oh and also all the logs in this mission have their decks set to some seemingly random one of the origional decks. There is a file which specifies all the names of the decks, try changing that so its more sensible. The same with the keycards.

I can send you the indeo video codec setup if you need it. 1918KB
There was a link to a download site here once. But I can't seem to find it...

You didn't read the first post in the thread, which said specifically to change the name of your strings.crf file, or else the logs would be messed up, did you? ;)

Just a note. I haven't managed to get SS2 running again on this machine  so I'm playing through RttUNN on another machine, which I don't have particularly frequent access to. But when I've finished it I'll have a nice, in-depth review. I'm enjoying it so far; thank you, blaydes.
BTW: how would you like your praise? Mindless emoticon-style, or considered-and-balanced?
