If he uses godmode, it's gonna seriously affect the result as a character. He'll stock up immense amounts of items like hypos and ammo, not to mention the nanites.
Cheating to get to the same point in the game is a bad idea unless you remember how much of each item you had; and what upgrades.

Why would he be stocking up on immense amounts of items in the first place??, even if he somehow got too many items he can just ditch them. He doesnt have to remember every single detail he had before just a general idea of items, so he'll have -5 +5 med hypos big deal.

I never said one had to remember it exactly, now did I?

Why did you bring up this then?.

@ jinx and Bjossi; Wow, can you guys shutup and stop arguing?
@ Serlio; Would love to send you a savegame, but i don't have one at that point. Actualy, i can't even remember if i have shock2 installed :p

You said using another one's savegame means you get a different character.
The same happens if you don't have an ok-ish idea of how your own character and his inventory was when you lost the savegame.
If no one is ready to give the poor guy a savegame, maybe the best option is to just play through the entire game again without cheats. I have ran through it at least 15 times, a second time shouldn't be much of a problem, we ARE talking about System Shock 2.

Here is the savegame: (
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9GG3STGB)
You'll need to upzip it in the save games folder, keeping the folder's name save_4. I don't have SS2 installed just now, so I don't know exactly where it is ... just that it's an early part of the Rickenbacker (at least, that's my guess based on the mission names listed in the folder ... but I think that's right; it's somewhere after you enter the Rickenbacker but before you reach the second Rick. loadzone). Anyway, even if it isn't right at the entrance, I don't think you'll miss much. Cheers.

I thought it was obvious he would turn it off once he reaches his previous location, didnt think I actually had to point that out.
What you said was that one should have a sense of accomplishment about building up your own character. As Bjossi elaborated upon, cheating to get what you can remember having isn't the same thing.
Also, your method takes a lot MORE time to get set up - to the point where he may as well just have fun replaying. I can see him wanting a save game because he's close to the end and is excited to see what happens.
But turning on God mode means you have to go back through the hassle of turning it off later. He's not going to remember everything he had, especially if he's a packrat, and as it's probably his first run through, he may not even remember his skills.
Also, not sure if that email you sent me was meant for Bjossi.
