So my laptop, several hours ago, decided that its monitor was at 800x600. This is the only resolution it displays correctly, and anything over that is stretched past the bottom of the screen. Up until now 1024x640 worked ideally and I'm not sure how I did this. The error started after I alt-tabbed out of Jagged Alliance 2, and I suspect that my monitor is stuck at the games settings.
The color settings were also at 16 bit but displayed correctly after being switched back to 32. Any help?

Have you tried updating on reinstalling the video drivers?

I've had that happen before when alt-tabbing out of games. Usually a restart fixes it, but I assume you've tried that already. If so, then reinstall the driver like Ostriig said.

You could try changing the resolution through the graphics card settings, e.g. right click the desktop and go to NVidia Control Panel (or the equivalent for your card). If there's nothing in the right click menu look in Control Panel.
