i cant get my resolution above 800x600 im running on a geforce 6200 with a 19 inch LCD moniter and deus ex just crashes to the desktop at 800x600

What is your desktop resolution?
Have you tried any other rendering modes (D3D, OGL, Soft)
Have you tried newer/older drivers?
AND FINALLY...
is the game a little bit on the copied side?

Aren't supported? That sounds dubious, except for GlideFX, which can be emulated (and apparently looks very nice), as has been noted by other threads in these forums, if you do a search. I personally prefer OpenGL.
Make certain you have visited the website of your graphics card's manufacturer, and downloaded the correct, most recent drivers. Some people create different drivers based on the manufacturer's standard which work quite well, too (like the (
http://www.dna-drivers.com/) DNA driver for ATI cards based on the Catalyst drivers). Stick with the manufacturer's at first, though.
Check that your BIOS has its video settings properly enabled or disabled.
Beyond that, I'm not sure... more info is needed, if you still have no success. Good luck.

..and make sure the game is fully patched.the unpatched game has problems with all graphics card that are not 3dfx.heh.good old times.
