I'm now keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't impede the delivery, and I get it tomorrow.
Where in the UK do you stay when your over here Ostriig..? if you in/near london, we could compare your new screen to my NEC...

I live in Luton for most of the year, I'm a student at the University of Bedfordshire, my second year. That's roughly a half an hour's train ride from King's Cross, so yeah, I think it could be done if you're up for it, but the strain's on you as I don't have a car. I'll let you know when I get the screen, and we can see.

I'm looking forward to such a comparision between these displays :). Interested in 2209WA myself (as NEC is out-of-production already).

Sweet, I actually live in South Herts, so I am even closer :-) I have a mate with a car, so we can do it that way. Or worst case I pop mine on the back on the back of thew bike and ride up there. :cheeky:

May be an East European thing, but I find that I'm rarely surprised nowadays when a company or other form of profit organization fails to keep to an established plan. Long story short, the company didn't ship out my package yesterday, despite stating Dispatched on the relevant page. I've contacted their sales department, and they claim I should get it tomorrow morning, as they bumped it up to a Saturday AM delivery. They didn't specify any additional costs (13quid difference) for me, and I expect them not to, since the problem was on their side.
Well, at the very least I can attest to their customer support being as speedy as advertised, since I got a reply to my e-mail in under the promised 15 minutes (5, to be more precise).
Biker - yeah, sounds fine, looks like you're fairly close anyway.

Do you have a mate up there with a car/van/truck, as I am probably gonna have more space at my flat that you will at your diggs... worst case I'll come and get you.
In fact I wonder if there are any taffers in our general are that would be willing to help out, we could have a thief meet-up at my place, have some pizza, some drinks and play Thief on my 36" CRT in the front room :cheeky:

No, I'm afraid I don't have anyone I can ask to give me a lift. But I don't live in the student halls anymore, I rent a house with two friends, so there's actually a fair bit of room. So, unless you get that TTLG meet going, I'd suggest we do it at my place. Be at ease, mine's a
student home... the genuine natural habitat for "drinks". :D
Oh, and... I got the screen! Gonna put up first impressions in the thread you made for it. And thank you, Biker!
P.S. 36''
CRT?! Now that's something...
